Figure-8 Spectacle Blinds

Figure-8 spectacle blinds are used to assist with the isolation of sections of pipework from flowing or pressurized mediums, to enable safe maintenance.

Figure-8 spectacle blinds are of a dual disc construction with a tab joining the blind and spacer rings. When the spacer disc is installed, the blind disc is exposed above the pipe line showing that the spacer is in use. The disc periphery is etched with the part number and identification details.

Features

  • FACING TYPE: Flat Face ‘FF’, Raised Face ‘RF’, Ring Type Joint Male ‘MRJ’ or Female ‘FRJ’ (Serrated spiral machined face in compliance with ASME B16.5 on RF facing only, smooth gasket face on FF type)
  • Size, ANSI Class, Material, Heat Number, and Part number etched on the periphery of the disc
  • ID and OD are flame cut and de-burred
  • MATERIALS: Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel 304 & 316, Duplex, Super Duplex, Monel, Inconel
  • SIZES: 0.5” to 24” – other sizes available upon request
  • ANSI CLASS: 150-2500 ANSI
  • Manufactured in accordance with ASME B16.48, ASME B16.5 & ASME B16.2
  • OPTIONS: Painted or special coatings (i.e. Stellite), please state with inquiry
